The Story..

The Bio History of Michael Joseph Jackson began when he was born on the 29th of August 1958 in Gary, Indiana. He was the 7th of nine children. (brothers: Sigmund "Jackie", Toriano "Tito", Jermaine, Marlon, Steven "Randy", and sisters Rebbie, Janet and La-Toya Jackson. Michael began his musical career at the age of 5 as the lead singer of the Jackson 5 who formed in 1964. In these early years the Jackson 5, Jackie, Jermaine,Tito,Marlon and lead singer Michael played local clubs and bars in Gary Indiana and moving further afield as there talents grew and they could compete in bigger competitions. From these early days Michael would be at the same clubs as big talented stars of there days, such as Jackie Wilson and would be learning from them even back then. In 1968 the Bobby Taylor and The Vancouvers discovered the Jackson five and from there they got an audition for Berry Gordy of Motown Records. The Jackson 5 signed for Motown and moved to California. Their first 4 singles, "I Want You Back", "ABC", "The Love You Save", and "I'll Be There" all made US No1 hits. The Jackson 5 recorded 14 albums and Michael recorded 4 solo albums with Motown. The Jackson 5 stayed with Motown until 1976, wanting more artistic freedom they felt they had to move on and signed up with Epic. The group name Jackson 5 had to be changed as it was owned by Motown, so they reverted to The Jacksons as they had be known in the early days. Brother Jermaine married Berry Gordy's daughter and stayed with Motown. Youngest brother Randy joined in his place. The Jacksons had a number of hit recordsand in total made 6 albums between the years of 1976 and 1984. In 1977 Michael made his first film debut when he starred in the musical 'The Wiz' playing Scarecrow with Diana Ross in the lead role of Dorothy. It was at this time Michael met Quincy Jones who was doing the score for the film. Michael teamed up with Quincey Jones as his producer for his first solo album with Epic Records. The album titled "Off The Wall" was a big success around the world and the first ever album to release a record breaking 4 No1 singles in the US. In 1982 Michael Jackson released the world's largest selling album of all time, 'Thriller'. This album produced 7 hit singles, breaking yet again more records, and went on to sell over 50 million copies worldwide. Michael was keen to use music video or short films as he called them to promote his singles from the album. He worked with the best directors and producers, using the latest technology and special effects.for the hit song 'Billie Jean' The short film 'Thriller' used the latest make-up artists technolgy combined with fantastic dancing and cherography, to produce a 14 minute video, with a start, a middle and an ending. So successful was this video that 'The Making Of Michael Jackson's Thriller' became the world's largest selling home video combined with soaring album sales. In 1983 Michael performed the now legendary moonwalk for the first time on the 'Motown 25 years' anniversary show. This performance alone set Michael undoubtable into the realm of a superstar.

In 1984 Michael won a record breaking 8 Grammy awards in one night. The awards were for his work on the 'Thriller' album and his work on the narrative for the 'ET Storybook'. On December 9th 1984 at the last concert of the Jackson's Victory Tour, Michael announced he was splitting from the group and going solo.

In 1987 Michael released his much awaited third solo album, titled 'Bad', and lauched his record breaking first solo world tour. 1988, Michael wrote his first autobiography talking for the first time on his childhood and his career. At the end of the 1980s Michael was named 'Artist Of The Decade' for his success off of his 'Thriller' and 'Bad' albums.

In 1991 Michael signed with Sony Music the largest ever recording contract and released his fourth solo album, 'Dangerous'. He toured world again in 1992, taking his concerts to countries that had never before been visited by a pop/rock artist. Also Michael founded the 'Heal the World Foundation' to help improve the lives of children across the world. In 1994 Michael married Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of rock legend Elvis Presley. The marriage only lasted for 19 months, as they divorced after 2 years.

1995 saw Michael release a fifth solo album, 'HIStory', which was a double album, first half new material and second half half greatest hits. Michael toured again over a legs covering a 2 year period. In between legs of the tour on November 14th 1996, Michael married for his second time to Debbie Rowe who was a nurse that Michael had met in the treatment of his skin pigment disorder. Together they had their first child Prince Michael Joseph Jackson jr born on February 13 1997 and a daughter Paris Michael Katherine Jackson born on April 3rd 1998. In 1997 Michael released the remix album 'Blood On The Dance Floor' which also contained 5 new song linked with a 38min film "Ghosts". This film Michael played 5 roles using the latest special effects and make-up artistry, combined with his dance and music.

In September, 2001 Michael celebrated his 30th anniversary as a solo artist with two concerts to be held in New York, USA. Many artists such as Whitney Houston, Usher, Destinys Child, Shaggy and many more performed there own and Michael Jacksons past songs. Michael then reunited with all of his brothers performed there biggest hits. Michael then went onto perform solo some of his biggest hits. In October 2001 Michael released the album 'Invincible' so far releasing only 2 singles including the big hit "You Rock My World". Since the release of this first single the album has been surrounded by rumours of a rift with Sony Music and a clear lack of promotion of the album. During the Invincible Era, 2000-2003, Michael would be honoured with many awards as “Artist of the Millennium”, and usher in new sounds for a new century.

Michael Jackson department on 25th June 2009.. just weeks before he was about to the greatest ever come back in history.. where he planned the World Tour 2009.. Infact he was working hard for to prepare for the tour. Although he is no more.. he always lives in the memory of millions of poeple throughout the world and he definitely lives in me..

Post Orientation Blues

"Before we start.. everyone synchronize ur time according my time.. the time is 2.17pm now.. and.. when i say OC OC.. u all reply.. here! here!.. got it ? "... this is how it all started.. One fantastic week of binding camp.. from the 1st module until the last sharing session.. everything was awesome..

I still remember the 1st day.. all new.. some blur.. some dont know whats happening... some thinking.. and asking themselves "what the hell am i doing here.. ? " even i myself.. as the coordinator.. almost gave up.. on the 3rd day.. it was like.. "Am i doing the right thing.. is this thing going on well.. am i gonna succeed.. ?? " these and many more questions in my head.. and many other things dwelling in my mind too..

However.. we all made it.. with the help of the people who created me.. like Nicky.. Shuk n DIn.. and also my my brothers.. Tharan.. Chee wei n Steve.. these r the people who really kept me strong.. kept me going.. coze.. in the process of the binding camp.. i made many sacrifices.. including ignoring someone people who r meaningful to me.. so that i could focus on what i'm doing.. and i wanted to make sure things go on well.. and it did.. the binding camp was a memorable one..

Then came the orientation.. for me.. on the 1st day.. i had an instinct that this time its gonna be something special.. coze i see something in the new freshies.. 1st 2 days.. Steve had a tough time on the stage.. i know exactly how he felt.. and i told him "Macha.. dont give up.. i believe in u.. n i believe we can do this.. ".. and thats the exact same thing i said to him on the last day.. when everything was over.. We did it.. we the OCs.. did it !.. for me.. it was an awesome orientation.. it will be remembered always..

To my OC family.. a family i have after my real family.. i really feel i belong to u guys.. i love each n every one of u.. i know.. i din get to know all of u well.. i wish i can.. this is our success.. each and every one of u made this happen.. i dunno.. this might be the last time as an OC.. i dunno.. not sure.. but.. if unfortunately.. i cant make it to the next orientation.. then.. the PASSION must be carried on by u guys.. the passion must not die.. the mmu cyber culture.. must carry on.. and last but not least.. Live with PASSION !!.. i love u all.. OCs rock !!

Open Relationship ???

Good to be here after so long.. Well.. Today while going out for a drink with my frenz.. the term Open Relationship came up during the conversation.. but.. none of us.. could really tell what is it actually about.. so.. what to do.. ? when we dont know about something.. we should find out.. rite? Lets see what i found out..

Open Relationship.. has 3 main definitions.. which are :

1. A relationship (often between two people) in which the participants are free to have sexual intercourse with other partners. If the couple making this agreement are married, it is then called an open marriage.

2. A relationship where both partners hide nothing from each other, including their past relationships and sexual experiences.

3. A relationship where both partners have agreed that monogamy, sexual fidelity or exclusivity are not expected. A polyamory relationship in which there may also be other lovers who are not partners in the given relationship. Most commonly, this refers to a primary couple who may have secondary relationships.

If u guys wonder what is Polyamory.. it means.. extension of a relationship by allowing bonds to form.. obviously more than one bond..

There are few types of Open Relationship.. which are :

1. A relationship that place strict restrictions on partners.. such relationships are polyamorous, but not open.

2. A relationship that permit sex outside the primary relationship, but not love.. such relationships are open, but not polyamorous ( Swinging )..

3. A relationship that do not accept the term of being in a relationship or not in a relationship.. they dont believe in it..

4. A relationship with 2 people that believe that they are capable and desirous of multiple loves.. whereas 'open relationship' is used as a logistical description: that is, it is how their polyamory is expressed or implemented..

So now.. i think.. we have a brief information about this Open Relationship term.. this term is a very popular culture.. In European countries.. mainly in Canada.. and Britain.. where there a lot of writings.. songs.. and books.. on it.. there are even sex educators that advocate on Open relationships.. Obviously it sounds so interesting n fun honestly.. but the question is.. Is it suitable for our Culture.. ?

So now.. If anyone of our frenz.. says that he or she is in an Open Relationship.. At least.. we know what they mean.. huhu.. Hopefully they know what it means too.. before they come up to such decision..

BACON, EGG AND CHEESE MUFFIN

Scramble 1 large egg in 1 tsp margarine and place on a toasted whole-grain English muffin spread with 1 tsp margarine. Top with 1 slice cooked turkey bacon and 2 tbsp shredded reduced-fat cheddar. Serve with 3/4 cup berries, 1/4 cup lowfat vanilla yogurt and 12 oz skim latte.


LUNCHES

SHRIMP SALAD
(400 calories)
10 cooked shrimp, 1/3 avocado, sliced, 1 tbsp slivered almonds, 2 tbsp each diced red onion and carrot, 1 tbsp prepared sesame dressing, tossed with 2 cups greens; 3 whole-grain crispbreads.

TANGY TURKEY PITA
(550 calories)
3 oz turkey breast, 5 olives, 3 tbsp feta, 2 tbsp each diced cucumber and tomato, 6 spinach leaves, 1 tbsp olive oil and 2 tsp balsamic vinegar in 1 whole-wheat pita; 1 large orange.

PEAR ‘WICH
(650 calories)
3 tbsp almond butter, 1/2 large pear, sliced, 1/8 tsp cinnamon on 2 slices whole-wheat bread. Serve with the other half of the pear.


DINNERS

FISH AND FRIES
(400 calories)
4 oz cod rubbed with 1 tsp olive oil, seared (2 to 3 minutes per side); 12 Alexia Sweet Potato Fries, baked as directed on package; 1 1/2 cups sliced cabbage tossed with 2 tbsp reduced-fat dressing.

CHICKPEA PASTA
(550 calories)
1/3 cup chopped onion, 2 cups chopped zucchini, 1/2 cup red bell pepper, chopped, and 1/2 cup chickpeas sautéed in 1 tbsp olive oil. Mix with 1 cup cooked ziti, 2 tbsp Parmesan.

CHICKEN PILAF
(600 calories)
3/4 cup cubed, cooked, skinless chicken mixed with 1 1/2 cups cooked Near East Whole Grain Wheat Pilaf drizzled with 1 tbsp olive oil; 1 cup steamed cauliflower with 1 tbsp lemon juice and 2 tbsp fresh parsley


SNACKS

Turkey and cheese roll-up
(100 calories)
1 oz sliced turkey breast, 1 oz sliced reduced-fat cheddar rolled up.

Chocolate milk with nuts
(150 calories)
1 cup light chocolate soymilk, 13 pistachios

Orange spritzer and almonds
(150 calories)
8 oz orange juice mixed with 4 oz sparkling water; 7 almonds

Try it out.. It seems can lose pounds in a week.. :)

Then.. there is Cupid.. He was the God of Love in Roman Mythology.. his mother was Venus.. There is a story where Venus was jealous of the beauty of a mortal.. named Psyche.. Venus sent Cupid to punish Psyche for her good looks.. but Cupid fell in love with her instead..
